Canadian Superior Energy Inc., an oil and gas explorer and producer, said Tuesday that Greg Noval, its founder and current chairman and chief executive, has been named to the new job of executive chairman.
The move will allow Noval to focus on the "bigger, major" issues facing the company and to diversify some of his previous day-to-day workload, Canadian Superior said in a news release.
Mike Coolen, Canadian Superior's president, was named as the company's new chief executive.
Canadian Superior shares fell 14 cents, or 4.3 percent, to close at $3.15.
