Stocks closed lower Monday, the index down by 47.58 points to 3,653.58. The All Shares market also closed lower by 25.96 points to 2,349.75.
Most of the subindices were trading in the red except for industrial, which closed upward by 14.37 points. The biggest mover was mining and oil, down by 159.34 points.
Volume was at 6.74 billion shares worth 4.20 billion pesos. Losers beat winners, 98 against 31, with 45 stocks unchanged.
At the foreign exchange, the peso was buying at 45.85 pesos and selling at 46.40 pesos in early morning trades. The peso closed at 46.06 against the US dollar last Friday.
