Acergy SA, a British provider of engineering and construction services for offshore oil rigs, said Tuesday it received an $85 million contract from Apache Energy for installation services in Australia's Van Gogh field.
The company will be responsible for installing and tying in flowlines, risers, manifolds and a floating production storage and offloading unit mooring on the North West Shelf of Australia. Offshore work will begin in the third quarter of next year.
Engineering work for offshore installation and tie-in services will start immediately from Acergy's Toisa Proteus, a heavy construction ship.
