Spectra Energy Partners, LP has closed its initial public offering of 11.5 million units at $22.00 per unit. The number of units issued at closing included 1.5 million additional common units issued pursuant to the exercise of the underwriters' over-allotment option. Net proceeds received by Spectra Energy Partners, LP from the sale of the 11.5 million units were approximately $237.2 million.
The common units offered to the public represent approximately 17 percent of the outstanding equity interests in Spectra Energy Partners, LP. Spectra Energy Corp (NYSE: SE - News) indirectly owns the remaining equity interests in Spectra Energy Partners, LP, including common units, subordinated units and a 2 percent general partner interest.

Spectra Energy Partners, LP, is a Delaware limited partnership formed by Spectra Energy Corp to own interests in natural gas transportation and storage assets in the United States.
