Bronco Drilling Co. said Thursday it named a string of management changes including the promotion of Mark Dubberstein as president.

Dubberstein, joined Bronco Drilling as general counsel on Jan. 1, 2006, after 25 years in private practice.

Steven Starke was named chief accounting officer. He joined the company as controller in May 2005.

David Treadwell will succeed Dubberstein as general counsel. He has been the company's assistant general counsel since May 2006. Before joining Bronco, he was a lawyer at Haynes and Boone LLP in Texas.

Matt Porter was named the company's vice president of corporate finance. In June 2006, he joined the company as manager of the corporate development group.

Rebecca Smith has been picked to replace Starke as the company controller. She has been the assistant controller of the company since September 2005.

A representative from the company could not be immediately reached to provide additional details.

Shares of Bronco rose a penny to $16.50 in after-hours trading, after shares fell 18 cents to $16.49.
